This project was given to me by another director friend of mine, Ray Kay. I was Art Directing a video for him and he got a random email from an Italian Artist who did a Google search for “Miami Music Video Director”. He found Ray Kay’s name. He was living in Miami at the time. I happened to be standing next to Ray Kay on set when he received the email. Ray Kay wasn’t interested in this video and offered it to me. Talk about being in the right place at the right time. Needless to say, I took on the project… The artist flew all the way from Italy to Miami to do this video.
They came in search of sunny skies and pretty blue water. What they got was a weekend filled with thunderstorms! It was pouring rain on our one shoot day. What do you do when life throws you lemons? You make lemonade. We decided to change some ideas and justshoot in the rain. What else were we supposed to do? It worked out well and it ended up being a complete success. I love the corky antics of the artist and all the wild things that made the video. Another crazy one but I loved it!
